Network EngineerReading (UK)Start Date: ASAP My Client, a major International telecoms and network company, are currently looking for a Network Engineer to join their on-site team in Reading. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of new and existing projects to an existing Business client, and deliver general delivery support on managed security services provided by my client. As the Network Engineer your main responsibilities will include (But are not limited to): Design and Hands-on Implementation of customer network infrastructure (WAN, SDN, LAN, WLAN, Data Centre, UC etc.)Create & maintain documentation for the implementation of the customer's networkSupport and coach other engineers in the team at a technical level to provide engineering support to enable my client to provide high quality services/solutions to our customersResponsible for defining the strategy needed to enable delivery of complex projectsManage the deliverables on complex customer design and implementation projectsPro-actively drive the development of the engineering role together with the other Design & Implementation engineersFourth-level support for Operations as part of the 'Incident and Problem Management Process' To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following: 6 or more years' technical experience in design and implementation of large-scale customer networksStrong Wireless knowledge and experience needed - Cisco, HP(/Aruba)Experience within telecommunication organisation/ International companies would be beneficialWorking at an ethical level that goes beyond mere compliance, but keeping in mind the needs of colleagues, customer and company at an integral level and basing decisions on those ethical principlesExperience and Affinity with working in a multi-cultural work environment. Affinity with working in an international company, with international customers, taking into account various time-zonesAbility to give guidance and coaching to other engineers as a technical level Requirements (Essential) Knowledge: Technical knowledge & experience to Cisco CCNP or similar level with focus on SDN/Cloud Solution, WAN, LAN, WLAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP, QoS, ,MulticastBasic knowledge of business processes (e.g. ITIL, Project Management) and the impact thereof on the technical environmentProficiency with the MS Office suite & applicationsKnowledge of multiple vendor products beneficialFluent English communication skills both written and verbalProficiency in other major languages beneficialExperience designing, deploying and managing at least 3 of the following technologies: Cisco (PIX, IPS, routers and switches) Juniper (Firewalls, IDP, SSL VPN, UAC) Checkpoint firewalls Sourcefire IDS Bluecoat application gateways Linux, Windows, Solaris SIEM, Data leakage and protection products
