Quality Technician (Night Shifts)

Spring Technology are working in partnership with a market leading organisation to recruit an established Quality Technician with experience of ensuring compliance, final batch release and the creation of Quality Assurance documentation.

The Company

You will be joining a FTSE 250 company with a global presence that is recognised as an industry leader. As a Quality Technician you will be supporting the Quality Manager to ensure compliance is in line with the sites Quality Management System.

The Role

*The key focus of the position is the support the daily manufacturing operations to ensure production is completed to quality standards that meet and exceed customer requirements and expectations, and minimise potential for waste.

*To support production team in sampling and approval of parts at the start of the production run.

*Use experience and product knowledge to assist TS and Setters in achieving good quality product during all production processes.

*Maintain production run documents etc. (S/Os, samples, Mould Files, F/O log) to ensure clarity of information retained review and use of data for future improvements.

*Championing the spirit of Continuous Improvement in everyday tasks and promoting CI culture through membership of specific Continuous Improvement project teams and activities.

*Accountable for 5S activities within Quality Assurance department and be an active participant in all CI activities.

*To ensure quality standards are maintained and product is "right first time".

*To ensure customer requirements are met or exceeded.

*Root cause analysis work with Production Manager, TS, Setters and Operators to establish corrective and preventative actions for production issues.

*Accountable for the investigation and recording of product quality issues that arise, completing containment activities (including system processes in production and distribution), supporting Shift Managers with corrective action implementation and providing tool-box talk type training to operators as required.

*Engage in the wider business to offer expertise, knowledge and experience and provide assistance in improvement activities.

*Self-motivated, shows initiative and has the ability to multi task

*Confident attitude with the ability to deal with staff at all levels

*Print/Packaging background

*PC Literate
