Role Summary:

Working as part of a Mechanical Engineering function, you will perform FEA and other predictive simulations on a range of electro/mechanical product families on a variety of aircraft platforms.

This is a role for someone that likes to be busy and add great value, we are extending an establish teams and require real dedication. Focus will be is to ensure demanding performance and reliability targets can be accomplished, within normal project budgets.

Key Activities:

Reproduce assemblies and its relevant parts in a CAE environment, considering the main physical drivers according to the type of analysis intended to be solved.Optimize geometries, boundary conditions and overall computational demands to achieve an analysis solution that has acceptable confidence levels in accordance with the project needs (time/cost).Validate analysis techniques, assumptions and results with test data when available or hand calculations.Propose design improvements based on analysis results to meet or exceed performance, safety and cost requirements.Liaise with the multidisciplinary team (mechanical design, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to achieve a solution that is acceptable.Write reports summarising the analysis results and present to stakeholders.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Degree in Mech/Prod Engineering.10 years' experience in design or manufacturing within a regulated or safety critical industry.Strong Ansys/Nastran or alternative FEA capability, along with CAD skills in NX or similar CAD package.

Experienced Engineer with a commercial awareness and excellent time management skills.

Desired characteristics:
