IT Infrastructure Specialist

My nationally recognised client is looking for a passionate and experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join their IT team at their head office in Lichfield, Staffordshire. The role will initially be a 6 month FTC.

The IT Infrastructure Specialist will provide 3rd line support for a variety of infrastructure technologies including VMware virtualisation, EMC / IBM storage arrays, Veeam backups, Lenovo server hardware.

This is an exciting time to join a highly performing team as they embark on delivering their Infrastructure Strategy; the team covers core business hours although you will need a flexible approach to working hours as you will be required to support out of hours upgrades/updates.

You will be an accomplished support engineer already delivering 2nd and 3rd line support and able to complement the team by delivering on-going operational efficiency, specifically relating to the MS stack and VMware technologies.

Skills and Experience in the following areas is required:

*Applied experience managing enterprise class hosting technologies

*Supplier management

*A structured approach to work to ensure operational controls are adhered to

*Ability to communicate in a professional and consistent manner to colleagues at all levels

*Excellent customer service

*Good problem solving skills

*Ability to take responsibility for finding solutions

*VMware ESXi / to 6.5

*Active Directory / Group Policy administration

*Exchange 2013 administration

*Office 365/Exchange Windows Server configuration and administration (2008R2 to 2012R2)

*SQL Server to 2012R2

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well known and well established client during an exciting period of change. The salary is paying £28,000-£32,000 plus some great benefits.
