ShortList Recruitment has an opening for an IT Enterprise Architect with a major client in Liverpool.The Enterprise Architect will shape and drive the high-level target IT architecture and technology and application roadmaps for several large, complex domains across the organisation, including ongoing governance of any proposed changes to the IT landscape and ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and target business architectures.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a large organisation as it goes through a major period of transformation.Key responsibilities for the Enterprise Architect:Provide industry knowledge and expertise to senior stakeholders, including Executive Directors, and leading edge technology thinking on behalf of assigned business domains to influence the organisation's future technology investments.Collaborate with senior stakeholders and business area colleagues to understand the business strategy, associated objectives and underpinning processesTake overarching responsibility for all assigned architectural domains and dependent technology roadmaps, ensuring an in-depth understanding of the associated complexities of each domainResearch, identify, analyse and make decisions regarding high-level IT solutions relevant to any assigned domains, ensuring cost effectiveness and software quality and re-usabilityInfluence key decisions at a senior level including multi million pound capital budget spend for large future technology investmentsEnsure alignment of proposed IT solutions with relevant business plans and strategies and overall alignment with the organisation's strategic objectives.Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure a full understanding of the entire portfolio of change across the organisationRecommend improvement strategies to existing application, data and infrastructure architectures in areas of expertise to ensure continuous improvement and maximise technologies for the organisation.Create and maintain key IT architecture controls and knowledgebase including application/interface catalogues and reference patterns/models to ensure appropriate governance arrangements are in place across assigned business domainsActively participate in any IT design authority boards/forums ensuring adherence to the organisation's architecture and design principles and standards for all projects within any assigned domainsTo be considered for the Enterprise Architect role you will have a demonstrable track record of designing sizeable solutions across a range of different organisations.The salary on offer for the Enterprise architect position is £75,000 and it is based near Liverpool Airport, so is commutable from central Liverpool, Chester, Warrington and Manchester.For more details, please click Apply now.ShortList Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.ShortList specialise in the full spectrum of IT positions, from CIO to Helpdesk Analyst, on both a permanent and contract basis.
