Role: Data Analyst

Location: Osterley

Contract: 3 Months + Extensions

Would you like to work for the UK's most innovative and clear market leader in media and broadcasting?You will be based within the Data Tech and Analytics department that consists of the team dealing with the classic data pulling and then the presentation of data; Large on-going migration project running, moving data to Google cloud whilst dealing with other projects simultaneously. The Data pulling is media orientated and will be Analysing Viewing data that is fed back to the technology and tester teams.Key Responsibilities:Working with stakeholders and business departments to understand the business issues and data challenges, thereafter developing requirements, specifications and recommendations related to a proposed solution.Carry out Impact Assessment from current to future state and contribute to estimates for the cost of the proposed changes.Help drive key data architecture decisions by demonstrating a working understanding of the underlying data requirements, source systems, platform capabilities and target business areas.Design of Data Models and ETL pipelines to meet the business requirements in the most efficient manner.Ensuring that risks and issues are identified in a timely manner and effectively communicated proposed resolution and mitigation strategies to the wider delivery team.Work effectively with members of the team to playback the business challenges and proposed changes to ensure they have a full understanding of the impact and retain a close relationship throughout, to ensure that the requirements are met.Provide accurate estimates of time needed for analysis; including dependencies, risks and assumptions.Contribute towards defining the analysis best practice and standards and ensure consistency of delivery across the team.Working with the delivery team to ensure that formal Change Management and Data Governance procedures are met and aid the Operations team investigating live Incidents.Requirements/ Skills:Proven experience of delivery of analysis across large scale data warehousing projects.Demonstrable application of Data Warehousing principles in terms of dimensional modelling and ETL pipeline design.Experience of translating diffuse and complex business requirements into user stories covering functional, non-functional, security and acceptance criteria.Excellent SQL skills enabling large scale data transformation and analysisExperience in an ETL tool-preferably Ab Initio or Informatica but not essential, and or data components of the Google Cloud Platform.Confident and collaborative team member, working with peers in the development and test team (and beyond) to ensure the requirements are delivered.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and has a proven ability to influence technical decisions in a fast-moving commercial environment.Effective management of multiple priorities and conflicting requests, escalating to senior management where necessary.If this sounds like the ideal role for you and you are currently available to take on a new contract, please apply via CV today!
