C++ Software Developer/Engineer, Cambridge UK:

C++ / Developer /Software Engineer/ Graduate/ Cambridge/

My client based in Cambridge, a leading software house is looking for a C++ developer / software engineer to join their team. Working for a fast growing software organisation this role will see you working on latency-critical real-time solutions for the financial markets. With Development offices in both Cambridge and Chicago they are looking for high quality C++ programmers to assist with core development of their proprietary server technology and very-high-speed message bus.

This role will see you joining a team of expert C++ programmers, utilizing the latest compiler toolsets and o/s APIs in a highly demanding real-time environment.

To be successful in this role you should have experience in :

* Excellent C++ skills, including STL / boost / C++11 and fluency in template-based design. Familiarity with work of Meyers, Josuttis, Sutter, Alexandrescu etc..

* Good networking (IPv4 and IPv6) and system programming skills on Linux and/or Windows.

Any experience of:

* Knowledge of financial markets an advantage, as is experience of exchange interfaces and related technology (FIX, TREP, ITCH etc).

* Knowledge of cloud based platforms (AWS and GCP).

Education

* 2:1 or above Hons. degree or equivalent in mathematics, computer science or comparable scientific discipline.

My client will also consider graduates with out the above skill set but who are willing to learn and who has a degree with a 2.1 or above in a Computer Science related degree.

In return for your skills my client is looking to pay up £35000 plus the usually benefits.
