SENIOR QUANT DEVELOPER C++ - PERMANENT - CENTRAL LONDON - £90,000 - £120,000

My client is looking for a Senior Quant Developer to join the Quant group and take ownership of the C++ analytics library.

This job opening represents an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business with institutional backing and a proven track record in delivering a suite of financial services to a market-leading standard. The successful individual will be able to combine their industry experience with a vision for further product development in a dynamic, challenging and supportive environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Take ownership of C++ Analytics Library

*Code reviews - enforce coding standard and check for appropriate test coverage.

*Advise on and manage test framework

*Manage pull requests

*Coordinate releases

*Keep toolset current

PLANNED TASKS

*Code enhancements / new functionality

*Refactor part of library to remove dependency on internal databases

*Review serialization functionality

*Manage Windows and Linux builds

*Review current unit/regression-test coverage and continue build of testing framework

*Review coding standards

The successful candidate will have prior/current experience maintaining an extensive analytical C++ library

WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

*Quant Developer experience

*Experience in code-refactoring

*Release and test framework design and implementation

TECHNICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

*Very high proficiency in C++ 11/14

*GitLab

*CMake

*Cross-platform build environments.

*An understanding of financial services, pricing, risk management, and associated quantitative constructs.

*Windows development

*Linux development

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

*Excellent communications skills.

*Excellent triage/problem diagnosis skills and attention to detail.

*Ability to quickly assess situations and adapt accordingly.

*Able to multitask and prioritise well.

*Energetic, enthusiastic and well organised.

*Must be a self-starter who will work well in a busy team.

*Awareness of the role of IT in the business.
