This is an opportunity to join a statutory levy board, funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain and managed as an independent organisation (independent of both commercial industry and of Government).
Responsibilities:
- Provide a 'front line' point of contact for all users of information systems covering hardware, software and peripheral equipment.
- Manage the Information Services job recording and tracking system. Ensure jobs are assigned appropriately and track their progress with the Information Services Support team, ensuring that SLA commitments are adhered to and escalated as appropriate.
- Provide a procurement service for all IT purchasing requirements - raising requisitions, receiving deliveries, asset tagging, stock management and invoice clearing.
- Provide an administrative service for members of the Information Services team (including procurement processing).
- Operate within closely defined responsibilities, adhering to defined departmental processes methodically and consistently.
- Respond to queries in a professional manner within scope of role, escalating where necessary.
- Recommend improvements and assist in the development of new processes and procedures.
- Ensure that Information Services databases, registers and associated paperwork are consistently accurate and up-to-date.
- Carry out basic systems administration tasks including maintaining user accounts.
- Provide a basic support service for Agresso ERP queries.
- Provide a basic support service for mobile telephony queries.
Person specification
- Previous administration experience and knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
- Will ideally have exposure to systems based working and an agile IT environment / role.
- Logical and numerate.
- Consistent and methodical with an ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office products (inc. Office365).
- Experience of managing stakeholder relationships and a commitment to high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate professionally and appropriately at all times.
- A proactive and enthusiastic nature is essential.
Salary range: £21,000 - £23,000
