Roke have an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Governance Manager to join our organisation. Governance, risk and compliance are things that we take very seriously here are Roke, and the associated monitoring and improvement activities are just as important.

What will your role look like?

Day to day activities will include:

Maintenance of formal management systems and frameworks (ISO 9001, ITAR  etc).

Support to maintenance of ISO:27001 accreditation

Support to Business Continuity planning and provision

Internal auditing (scheduled and ad-hoc) including:

Business processes

ISO27001 (Information Security Management)

Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC)

Compliance reviews, checks and investigations

Anti-Bribery and Corruption monitoring and internal training activities

Continuous improvement of internal policies, processes and guides

Support Roke's strategy for international growth through Governance compliance and policy development

Sharing of best practice with the wider organisation

 

You will also have the opportunity to support the Business Governance Manager in shaping the organisation's strategy for governance, risk and compliance so there is a real chance to make a difference to how we do things.

An understanding of technology would be useful as this role is based in an engineering organisation, but you don't need to be from a technical or engineering background. Experience of working with ISO accredited management systems would be advantageous, as would experience in compliance management, internal auditing, process development or practical application of standards or regulations in a complex and fast moving business environment.
