Role: Java developer

Rate: £400 - £420 per day

Contract length: 6 months initial

Role overview

Our client, a leading e-commerce company in Leeds are looking for a Java Developer to supplement an existing team split over 2 squads. You would be working multiple requirements from different projects. There will be lots of messages being received and being sent back out using this system.

The client have established themselves as a company who has a modern tech stack, agile environment and collaborative culture. This particular team are dedicated to an agile approach to delivery and use a combination of scrum/kanban but also will adopt best practice towards development (TDD, BDD, clean code).

Experience required for this role

Solid commercial Java development experience

Experience building back end systems using Micro-services

Experience with Spring/Spring Boot

Be used to working in an commercial agile environments

Experience working in TDD environments - bought into the approach

Messaging experience (Rabbit MQ, Active MQ)

Desirable experience for this role

Experience with AP Dynamics

Experience with concourse or Jenkins

Experience with Camel, Cassandra or Active MQ

Any experience with AWS and Docker is something they would be very interested in as well.
