Chester ShortList Recruitment are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a software house in Chester. The role of DevOps Engineer is essential to coordinate the estate of servers and manage the versions of applications held on the servers. In addition the DevOps Engineer will help shape and innovate the methods used to deploy releases efficiently. The DevOps Engineer will: * Work closely with the Development team to understand the scheduling plans and upcoming releases.
* Liaise with R&D and operational teams to support the transition of releases and deployments
* Report on the current levels and revisions
* Monitor progress and levels held on servers
* Mitigate impact on service operations by managing risk via revision levels The DevOps Engineer must be able to collaborate with internal and external parties: * Internal - Product Managers, R&D, Sales, CIO and IT Heads of
* External - Customers, third party providers and industry bodies The DevOps Engineer must have: * Strong knowledge of ITSM best practice
* Excellent communication skills
* Previous experience of remote access tools
* Experience of automatic deployment techniques
* Use of AWS Cloud In order to be considered for the DevOps Engineer you should have the following skills and experience: * Amazon AWS technologies
* Docker, Ansible, Terraform
* Setup and management of Ansible to monitor Windows & Linux Servers
* LAMP stack experience
* Microsoft SQL Server maintenance and deployment The successful DevOps Engineer will be eligible for a salary of up to £60,000 with a great benefits package.
