I have a role available for a Senior Performance Tools Developer (Assistant Vice President level) working with a major financial institution based in Knutsford, you may have an inclincation as to who. This is quite a comprehensive role so I will endeavour to break it up in to fairly clear parts and keep out any sales waffle.

What Am I Doing?

This role is a spearhead role involved in a £400m IT infrastructure transformation project across the buiness group and will be responsible for the design, development and delivery of the strategic performance management solutions across the entire business group. What does that mean? essentially it means you'll be engineering, developing and maintaining the Performance and Enterprise Systems solutions for the business group. You'll also be managing and undertaking the building of relevant infrastructure and software required to create the Development, Test and Production environments. All of this will be delivered using Agile software development processes.

What Do I Need?

There are a few things you'll need a good grip on for this role, starting with software development experience, primarily with 'C' & Perl, as well as confident scripting skills in Python, Javascript and GIT Source Code Management tool. In terms of OS, you'll be working with mainly Linux & Windows, but also some AIX, so you will need a deep understanding of at least 2 of these systems ideally. In terms of Front End skills you'll want to have some core WEB Knowledge, mainly HTML/CGI/CSS/JS/APIs, alongside JS Frameworks such as AngularJS, Node.js and Bootstrap. Finally any knowledge of OpenSource Project - Ganglia will be beneficial.

I realise there is a lot there, however don't worry about ticking every single box, if you look at this and have some concerns please get it touch and we can discuss it as you may count yourself out when you shouldn't.

What Do I Do Now?

Simple, if you're happy with everything above, or you're curious and want to know more, please feel free to get in touch on any of the methods I've listed below, or apply directly to this advert.
