In this SQL Server DBA role you will be working for one of the top tech teams in Dublin. Fun, friendly and collaborative environment. There is approx. 60/70 people in their Dublin office and one of the best Software Development teams in the country working for them using the latest technologies, tools and techniques. Small company feel, offering a great learning environment and also a place where your voice and ideas are heard.

This Product company has a distributed DevOps group of people that look after their extensive infrastructure consisting of On Prem, VM Cloud and Azure. Within DevOps, they have a Database and Network group and this role will report here. There are several database SMEs plus networking engineers. You will be joining an enthusiastic and pro-active team of DBAs responsible for a large number of systems. You will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills in areas such as Azure and MongoDB as you work, as well as SQL Server itself.

You must have 3 years hands on DBA experience

Database monitoring, administration, maintenance and reporting.

SQL Server 2008,2012, 2016 administration

Expertise of standard SQL Server tools.

Strong SQL, T-SQL, and DTS/SSIS package skills.

Flexibility to perform a number of database tasks at one time unsupervised.

Ability to join an on-call rota with other DBAs to sustain availability (1 in every 5 weeks)

Advantageous

Knowledge or exp in Azure and or AWS

Knowledge or exp in Mongo DB, Elastic, SOLR.
