Are you a Senior Embedded Software looking to grow into a team Lead? If so this is the ideal role for you. I am actively looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer/Team Lead to join a company based near to Leeds. You will be joining a small company with a team of four engineering reporting into you for the projects that they are currently working on. The company are involved in the research, design and manufacture high end Pro-AV products and maintain a very high degree of control over both hardware and software, from the low level DSP algorithms through to the User Interface and control systems. Although you will be responsible for four engineers your main role will be very hands on technically programming in both C and C++ with experience in OOP and Linux ideally.

You will also be involved in the architecture of the software, supporting the hardware team and verifications team. This role will encompass around 70% hands on and 30% managerial, however once the team grows managerial responsibilities will be added. You will be initially working on the next generation of their products that are going into market.

Core skills include:-

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.

- Software Engineering experience.

-Experience of system planning and architecting.

-Excellent OOP skills for planning and implemention.

-Excellent coding skills in C++, C.

-Scripting experience.

-Experience of working on Linux in an embedded system with recent knowledge of Yocto Project plus uBoot on ARM (preferably i.MX6) a big advantage.
