Domain Architect

Telford - with flexibility to work from home

Salary - £48,800 - £60,000 (plus benefits including car allowance)

Following an unprecedented period of growth and transformation, there has never been a more exciting time to join our client.

Due to ongoing expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced Domain Architect to support the FAST DB Service (a private cloud platform for hosting Oracle or MySQL database instances inside managed virtual machines integrated with enterprise class storage and Oracle Enterprise Manager)

About you:

You will be an experienced Domain Architect or perhaps currently working in Systems Administration but looking to move into an Architecture and Development based role.

You will have experience in database tier technologies, particularly Oracle and MySQL and have knowledge of server virtualisation particularly Oracle VM. You will also have experience with RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Tuning and Performance, Oracle patching and maintenance and MySQL Enterprise Edition including MEM, MEB and Innodb Cluster as well as experience or strong knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Skills deemed as essential for the role

* Knowledge of database tier technologies, particularly Oracle and MySQL.

· Knowledge of server virtualisation, particularly Oracle VM.

* Administration skills for database tier technologies, particularly Oracle and MySQL.

* Working hands on knowledge of Linux, Red Hat or Oracle Linux.

* Working hands on knowledge of Oracle VM and Oracle VM Manager for x86.

* Excellent problem analysis, problem solving skills

* Experience working with 3rd parties and technology vendors

* Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with HMRC stakeholders.

* Skills required for development of successful business cases.

* Willingness to adapt and learn new skills.

Skills deemed as desirable for the role

* Knowledge of IT technologies such as SAN storage, Backup, Networks and Enterprise Management.

* An understanding of Fujitsu HMRC architectural processes.

* An understanding of commercial and financial aspects of the Fujitsu HMRC contracts.

* An understanding of the HMRC business needs of the clients.
