Technical Services Manager - Birmingham - 6 months
Technical Services Manager required to join a multinational information technology client working on a project for an end client in the hospitality industry based in Birmingham on an initial 6-month contract.
The Role
* You will be managing a team and will require a broad knowledge of networking technologies and experience of working on large scale network migrations and to challenging timescales in an implementation management role.
* You will also be responsible for planning and guiding service delivery, achieving required service levels and customer satisfaction.
* You will also deploy, manage and develop people to deliver impeccable service and controls costs.
Key Accountabilities
* Managing, motivating and developing a team of technical specialists, ensuring that the service levels are met.
* Building relationships with customers and being the technical interface both internally and externally.
* Mitigating risks and ensuring problems are resolved based on the team's technical skill levels and adequate resources
* Resource allocation/scheduling taking into account changing priorities or issues on services of a small to medium capacity.
* Achieving effective and efficient delivery of service within Service Level Agreement. (SLA)
* Forecasting the impact of business issues on your team and taking appropriate action by monitoring and controlling issues.
* Ensuring the team delivers effective and efficient services within SLAs
* Improving core skills, adopting standard processes and encouraging re-use.
* Ensuring adherence to agreed strategic tool-set, emphasising the need for improved deployment and usage.
