An IT Project Manager who has a demonstrable background in delivering both IT Application and Infrastructure projects based is required to work for the UK's Leading Engineering Organisation as part of their Internal IS Division based in Portsmouth.
As an IT Application/Infrastructure Project Manager you will ensure the effective delivery of business value from project delivery, with a focus on delivering in an Agile and Waterfall capacity.
Responsibilities in this role include;
* Projects delivered to time, cost & quality while tracking and recording any deviations
* Maintain a full set of documentation as required by the Babcock IS Project Management Process
* Assemble project plans and team work assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately.
* Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resourcing to meet the needs of customers
* Maintain requirements in a form appropriate to the project, and ensure traceability to design and test activities
* Projects completed in accordance with agreed designs, and to prescribed standards
* Manage third party suppliers, holding them to contract
* Ensure the risks associated with COTS package integrations are carefully managed
* Manage all data aspects of the projects, ensuring appropriate data privacy is maintained, and carefully managing all migrations
* Manage the business change aspects of a project, covering business process change, User Acceptance Testing, end user and operational training, and business communication
Essential Skills
An experienced Project Manager who has successfully delivered both application/infrastructure based projects.
Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously and being highly organised
Can use both MS Project and Project Server
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of implementing and delivering large projects in complex environments within Budget and Timescales using structured Project Methodology
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of current IT technology
Can liaise with senior stakeholders from across the business
Holds either Prince 2, APM or PMP Qualification
This role requires the individual to hold or be able to obtain SC Clearance on acceptance of the position.
