Do you have SQL / patch management experience and looking to become an industry specialist within a globe leading engineering company offering industry expert training and overseas formal training?

Opportunity to become the technical face of a globally renowned business working within a small close knit friendly office that are dedicated in developing you into an industry support expert!

Established over 200 years ago, our client is a leading engineering company that produces products and software for the maritime, defence, aerospace, Oil and gas industry. With multiple sites across the UK and the rest of the world, Bristol is the smallest site and is in place to support some large contracts locally and as part of this is offering a personalised managed service which you will be the face of.

You will join the business and undergo specific product training in Norway which be for about 20%-30 % of your probation period so a willingness to be away during the week initially is a must. Once up and running you will be responsible for working within a small team based in Bristol where you provide technical 1st and 2nd line software support for on marine sensors including radar, radio, CCTV and AIS both remotely and occasionally face to face. Full product training in Norway will be offered to the successful candidate.

The role;

* 1st and 2nd Level technical troubleshooting

* Maritime equipment and software (radar, radio, CCTV and AIS)

* Patch management testing of our 3rd party software against the OS (Windows, SQL Server, Linux)

* Some Network support

* VMware environment / ITIL Environment

* Mainly remote but occasional face to face support

* on-call rota

*Small but very friendly/ highly experienced team

*Initial training overseas - 20%-30% of probation (Able to come home weekends)
