Senior Software Engineer

Salary - up to £65K + excellent benefits

Senior Software Engineer (Java, Scala, TDD, cloud) - we, a leading data software company in Oxford, are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to come on board and make an immediate impact leading the delivery of our major platform. A combination of Java and Oracle technologies make up the application, where the Senior Software Engineer will have a key role managing and guiding the team, working in an agile environment.

The Senior Software Engineer has the chance to:

* Have complete ownership of the project, working across the entire life cycle from inception through to testing and delivery

* Further knowledge in Java, Groovy, Scala as well as cloud experience (AWS or other)

* Guiding and mentoring more junior members of the team using suited methodologies

* Work with end users gaining insight into suitability and improvement processes

* Applying best practice technologies such as TDD and lean software delivery

This role will provide the Senior Software Engineer the opportunity to take on the added responsibility of overseeing other members of the development team, whilst remaining hands on with development and pairing.
