Junior Python Developer

Location: Osterley (West London)

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Summary of role and responsibilities

This role is part of the Automation team responsible automating testing of Set top Box Software. This role involves developing automated tests using Object oriented in python and maintain a continuous running automated test system that runs daily thousands of automated tests exercising a variety of devices.

This role will involve many interesting aspects of coding/testing including:

1. Using variety of Python modules (including OpenCV, numPy, Pandas, PyQt)

2. Using Jenkins for running of tests and creation of result dashboards

3. Extensive use of raw database queries (MySQL)

4. Using code review tools like 'Review Board'

5. Knowledge and experience of using Jira scrum boards

6. Involved in tool development to improve test/verification efficiency

Technical Skills Required

1. At least 3 years of experience in developing back-end code using Object-Orientated programming

2. Experience of Python Programming

3. Ability to read code

4. Advanced SQL knowledge

Desirables

1. Experience of using Agile Development Methodologies

2. Data mining, Machine learning (bonus)

3. Network protocols (bonus)
