Lead Software Engineer / Head of Development (Java, Cloud Computing, Big Data)

We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer / Head of Development (Java, Cloud Computing, Big Data) for our established and strongly VC-backed startup, originally hailing from the Westcoast of America. We have just been awarded £15 Million in funding and as a result we are looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer/Head of Development (Java, Cloud Computing, Big Data) to build and scale a brand-new talented team of Software Engineers in our new office in Cambridge; someone who can lead from the front.

We are dedicated to grow a team of multi-faceted Engineers to work at the intersection of distributed systems, big data and advanced analytics. As our Lead Software Engineer / Head of Development (Java, Cloud Computing, Big Data) you will create advanced software solutions that combine data analytics and Machine Learning to process data in unparalleled speed and efficiency. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer / Head of Development (Java, Cloud Computing, Big Data) who wants to be involved with a new generation of optimization and Artificial Intelligence which will impact many different sectors such as smart cities, manufacturing, government enterprise and more.
