Innovative digital services are at the heart of Devon County Council’s mission to better meet the needs of our users.

We are bringing together a new multidisciplinary digital team that will be responsible for using an agile approach to deliver these new user-centred services that make it easy for people to get things done.

We need a performance analyst who can bring their expertise to this team, providing us with valuable insight about our digital services and other customer touchpoints, and use these findings to contribute to service improvement.

The role:

The Principal Software Developer will be part of a team of digital specialists working collaboratively with people across the organisation to create digital services using a new low code digital platform

The Principal Software Developer will be responsible for building services that meet business requirements while ensuring our end users are able to easily complete tasks

About you:

You’ll enjoy working openly and collaboratively with digital teams and business representatives at all stages of the software development lifecycle

You’ll have experience leading software development projects and will be able to manage technical resources provided by our partner Scomis to ensure service designs are developed into effective digital services.

You’ll offer broad experience of developing web applications and services, and know how to use your expertise to extend our capabilities in a low code development environment

You’ll have experience of working as part of an agile team and will know how to develop services that reflect the Local Government Digital Service Standard.
