Database Administrator/Reporting Analyst

c.£40,000 + £4,000 on call allowance

The role

Developing and implementing appropriate reports, data extracts, and dashboards

Maintaining reports, parameter passing, and supporting data structures

Develop ETL solutions using MS SSIS to extract data from 3rd party systems and SharePoint Lists

The role will also include

* Applications & data functions for Group IT

* Specialist in Sequel server ideally

* Code development

* Reporting services

* General problem solving within data platforms

* Reporting function/reporting analyst

Skills & Competencies:

Strong SQL report development experience.

Experience of developing both real-time and scheduled reporting.

5+ years' experience of producing reports from a SSRS (SQL Server Reporting System) accessing data within a SQL environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to liaise effectively with personnel at all levels.

Logical and analytical approach, with the ability to recommend the best way of presenting business data.

Demonstrable accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and ensure successful delivery of assigned tasks.

Also experience of the following

* High availability groups

* Clustering

* Vitalisation experience

* Report development from data records

* Reporting - splunk (data and reporting) - code development, design

Qualifications

o SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is desirable

o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is desirable

o Experience in the defence industry is desirable

o Degree educated or have a recognised business professional qualification is essential
