2nd Line IT Support Analyst

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a 2nd Line IT Support Analyst for an initial 3 month contract on a rate of c.£130-150/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Assist users to make more effective use of desktop systems, diagnosing problems & advising known solutions.

* Respond to requests for support by providing information to resolve problem resolution & allocates unresolved calls.

* Accurately record incident and change actions and their associated resolution.

* Effectively manage each personally assigned incident/change.

* Provide an effective interface between users & service providers, including documenting problems.

* Solving problems with Corporate Smartphones.

* Rebuilding of Laptops and Tablets.

* Liaise closely with colleagues in relation to overall queue management.

* Liaise with other Support Teams and External suppliers:

* Escalate any issues to Systems Management or Network Services to ensure any major issues are dealt with promptly.

* Liaise with external suppliers to provide problem resolution where external supplier resources are required.

Requirements:

* Experienced 2nd Line IT Support Analyst.

* Experience resolving IT incidents and problems, and offering support and guidance on technical matters to enable delivery of their business objectives.

* Experience rebuilding of Laptops and Tablets.

* Experience installing/upgrading desktop systems & advising on updates etc.

* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
