SC or DV Wintel VMWare Engineer to be based in Gosport on an initial 6 Month contract. Experienced Wintel VMWare Engineer to provides technical support in appropriate distributed system environments for Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Citrix & VMWare. Ideal candidate will hold SC or DV or at least be eligible to obtain SC or DV Clearance.

Under minimal supervision, provides support of distributed computer systems and designs and develops integrated solutions through tools, processes and procedures.
Provides technical support in appropriate distributed system environments for Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Citrix & Vmware.
Role Description:
Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to servers, local services, data centers, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met.
Participates in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of Microsoft Windows systems and on projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications. Tests, integrates, maintains, and addresses escalated problems related to Wintel systems for smaller sized projects, including testing and integrating hardware and software, using appropriate resources. Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established servers or networks. Supports maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; assists in identifying cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client interests.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established Wintel servers and desktop devices.
Supports periodic maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
Typical Outputs and Deliverables:
Coordinates with other technical staff in providing clients and customer with appropriate level of support for all account services.
Desirable Skills:
Four or more years of related experience in Windows Server 2008/2012, Active Directory, Citrix, VMware. Experience working with computer server hardware, operating systems, and specific applications within Wintel systems environments. Experience working with systems management frameworks, protocols, and tools
