IC Design Centre Manager

Enigma People Solutions is recruiting an IC Design Centre Manager for our international client's Edinburgh design center. You will be responsible for managing and supporting all the activities associated with the concept, development and validation of analog RF, power and mixed signal IC projects. The company success is based on a design team that is able to quickly assess new design challenges, derive competitive solutions whilst optimizing the effort and cost to market. The Design Centre Manager will directly influence and drive new chip developments for the Scottish entity and continue the growth of the local team. The position reports to the company’s VP of Engineering based in California.

Job Summary:

- Manage the technical tasks of a medium size IC design team in line with the priorities given by the management team. The team is expected to grow from 16 to over 20 in 2019.

- Support and drive the design team to define system level requirements and derive quick and effective design circuits to meet the design target within the scope of the projects.

- Help improve the design quality, flow, processes for first time design success and high yield manufacturability. It is expected that the IC Manager will personally lead some of the task forces to improve design flows.

- Support Marketing and Sales forces to secure new customers and assist new project feasibilities.

Requirements:

- Masters Degree in Electronic Engineering with a strong system and analog design background.

- More than 10 years of IC design experience from system definition to productization.

- Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams. Demonstrated experience to work autonomously yet not independently!

- Knowledge of IC design techniques related to power management and BCD (Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS) silicon process technologies is a plus.

- Knowledge/experience of Automotive related challenges is a plus.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills
