GLL is looking for an ICT Senior Field Engineer to cover our London regions and across the Home Counties. As the UK's largest leisure operator, we've grown each year since our inception. With each new facility that we take on board comes new ICT challenges. To date, our IT department has helped with the mobilisation and deployment of new technologies to 168 facilities - 23 of them since the start of the year.

This role will form a key part of the GLL ICT team that will roll out a variety of technologies needed to operate a mix of leisure centres, libraries and other community facilities as well as providing technical support to the business. Supported by the wider head office team, you'll attend regional meetings to ensure that colleagues are up-to-date and satisfied with their IT services as well as adhering to strict technical standards, procedures and health and safety.

Adept at working with a variety of technologies (our current estate is made up of front and back-of-house work stations, public PCs in libraries, iPods, Meraki WiFi devices and public WiFis), you'll also have a proven track record of maintaining, improving and supporting modern, best-of-breed products and protocols such as Windows, Windows embedded, Terminal Services, Citrix, Windows Thin Clients and Networks. Good communication skills will be key as you'll need to demonstrate excellent customer relationship management and liaise with a number of third party suppliers as well as leading a team and training groups of staff. Experience of Microsoft Business Solutions (Dynamics) and Legend membership (or another leisure system) would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.

You will need to work to flexible shift patterns including some unsocial hours. A current driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:

Pension schemes

Childcare vouchers

Ride to work scheme

Discounted membership at our leisure centres

The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events

Career pathways

Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

Closing date: 28th October 2018

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.

To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
