Oracle Forms Developer - Durban - Up to R65,000 CTC PM

Application development of ERP financial systems and sub systems. Designs of solutions to ensure quality development and maintenance thereafter.

Provision of programming changes to a high level of technical competence and quality assured delivery for software development projects. Implementation of built solutions.

Role Requirements

* Strong analytical skills and experience using the required technology stack

* Understanding of system functionality at the application level

* Understanding of working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team

* Ability to plan work times required to deliver on project objectives.

* Ability to understand and interpret documented user requirements from business or functional requirements

* Ability to understand and interpret technical system specifications

* Ability to develop and implement systems

* Ability to produce technical specs for programs

* Ability to do conceptual system design and compile suitable design documents

* Ability to complete object oriented design

* Ability to do Database design (logical and Physical models)

* Ability to audit quality of programs developed

* Ability to develop and implement systems

* Ability to provide viable solutions to ensuring that project deliverables remain on track as per agreed timeline.

* Good technical writing and presentation skills

* Logical approach and excellent problem solving skills

* Must be able to travel (national and international)

Role Responsibilities

* Creates logical and innovative solutions for medium to complex requirements.

* Compile designs for program delivery which is aligned to documented user expectations.

* Make programming changes, within technical level of competence, to deliver on project objectives.

* Develop quality programs, minimizing rework

* Review technical deliverables to ensure that what has been built meets user expectation

* Provide timeline estimates for delivery of project work

* May be required to assist in quality assurance, system & user acceptance testing

* May be required to implement systems inclusive of configuration, training, on site/remote support

* Adhere to governance processes for delivery within the systems development life cycle

* Is a self-starter who requires minimal supervision, and takes high ownership of work assigned

* Must provide guidance and support to junior or other developers to ensure that project deliverables are met in the required time and budget estimations.

* Must be able to engage within a team at the required level to ensure success of a team delivery

Education & Qualification

* BTech, IT/Computer science degree or diploma

* Oracle certification is an advantage

Relevant Experience

* A minimum of 4 years in systems development for an intermediate developer

* Preference will be given to a candidate with 1 year developing code in Java or Java scripting

* Preference will be given to a candidate with 1 year of object oriented design experience

* Preference will be given to a candidate with ERP experience and financial systems understanding

* Strong analytical skills using Object orientation programming

* Strong analytical skills preferably PL/SQL or similar query language

* Oracle forms, Reports and PL/SQL experience required

* Preference will be given to the candidate who has had ADF training and/or ADF experience
