Exciting start-up, specialist in Image Processing applications, seeks a bright Firmware Engineer with a background encompassing camera image processing pipelines coupled with strong Real-Time programming in Embedded C / C++.

Continued interest from leading consumer electronics companies for this innovative technology, has led to a new requirement for an Embedded Software Engineer to focus on the development of embedded firmware for camera ISP pipelines. The successful Firmware Engineer will undertake software development, testing and debug on software models and development boards as well as programming hardware devices at register level.

Essential skills for this Firmware Engineer role include:

           Experience with Camera ISP.

           Driver development for cameras and sensors on Linux platforms.

           Embedded C / C++ including RTOS techniques.

           Scripting languages - Python ideal.

           Linux programming.

           Knowledge of hardware platforms.

It would also be beneficial to have an understanding of MATLAB, exposure to video and photo compression and codec technology such as H.264, HEVC and JPEG and some familiarity with optimising code to make the best use of memory and CPU or GPU resources.

A competitive salary will be offered up to £55/60K + Share options.
