Application Developer, Macclesfield/Remote, 3 months, £300/£340 per day, VB.net, C#, Hardware Interfacing

I am working with a client based near Macclesfield who are looking for an application developer with hardware interfacing experience to join them on an urgent requirement. They are working on a new product, working on an automation product line machine. They are looking for somebody to work on integrating some of their existing software into this product as well as develop new features and perform test/debugging on it.

This role will involve working on the project from start to finish, from discovery, through to development ending in testing and offers a lot of ownership. They need somebody who is a self starter and can work without the need of detailed specs to add their own touch to the product.

Skills:

The Software is written in VB.net but C# is fine.

Experience working with Automation and/or image processing would be useful as you will be working with every stage of the product.

Experience with hardware/communication protocols such as TCP/IP, RS232, USB is essential.

They are looking for somebody to start ASAP with interviews happening on Monday. The role is for 3 months initially but offers the possibility of an extension.

They are also open to considering remote/partial remote working for the right candidate. You would still need to be in the office when needed which includes testing the hardware but you could work part of it remote.
