I am recruiting for the UK's leading engineering support services organisation and market leader in providing through life engineering to the defence, marine and nuclear industries. They are trusted worldwide for their expertise and proven track record in supporting complex engineering projects.

We are currently recruiting a number of package managers to support a strategic infrastructure project at the Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth. The UK is currently building its next generation of submarines and as such we need to ensure we have the supporting infrastructure to enable their through lifer maintenance. The roles will be accountable for distinct packages of work at the dockyard in either M&E or Civils. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the package, acting as the main point of contact between the dockyard, client and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

* To manage and control delivery of distinct package(s) of work as defined by the Project Manager.

To ensure the scope of work definition will satisfy the project / package requirements.

* Development of plans, schedules and control of work information for defined packages, integrating with the wider project(s).

* To develop, monitor, forecast and report against budget.

* Undertake stakeholder management in relation to defined tasks.

* Ensure all works are planned and managed in a safe and appropriate manner.

Requirements

* Demonstrable experience and knowledge of engineering works, e.g:

Civil works, mechanical or electrical systems / services, construction management and/or building demolition preferably within a marine led environment.

* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a managerial capacity.

* Proven experience with managing teams and large scale infrastructure projects.
