Azure Engineer

One of our top telecommunications clients based in West Yorkshire is looking for an Azure Engineer to join their growing team. You will work alongside the First and Second Line Support teams and Managed Hosting Engineers to provide support, and identifying root causes for incidents.

You will act as the subject matter expert within Azure assisting internal teams through knowledge transfer/training and guidance on best practice.

Azure Engineer duties will include, but not limited to:

*Providing 3rd line investigation of customer incidents escalated to the 3rd line team

*Making technical decisions and implement service restoration workarounds whilst a root cause is being established

*Taking the lead on Virtual Incident Management team liaising with engineers from different technical fields

*Working in conjunction with the Managed Hosting Engineers and 3rd party resolvers to provide incident resolution, problem management and root cause analysis

*Identifying serious issues and identifying courses of action to minimise or eradicate the possibility of impacting customer systems availability

*Keeping service restoration at the forefront of incident resolution to meet SLA's

*Working within a CSIP (Customer Service Improvement Plan) to drive a better quality and improved service

As Azure Engineer you will be required to possess:

*3 years experience working within a 2nd/3rd line support capacity in a Service Provider/Outsource Environment - with a minimum of 1 years experience supporting Azure at 3rd Line level

*Azure certified, preferably 70-533 Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

*Proven experience with Azure, using PaaS/SaaS/IaaS

*Experience/certification with Office365

*Strong track record with managing virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and Active Directory

*Experience of problem, incident and change management

*Excellent understanding f the ITIL framework

*Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and DHCP
