Infrastructure Engineer - Infrastructure and Network Engineer

Role

As an infrastructure engineer you will be based on the client's site in Chester where you will be part of a team that supports their infrastructure. The role is ideal for an infrastructure engineer who would like to be involved with networks.

The role will involve providing support to server operating systems and applications, storage and VMware. The role also includes BAU activities that could include daily application checks, patching, windows environment patching through to general fault queries that are directed to the team. In addition, as the client works within a regulatory environment, a lot of the work would involve changes and liaising closely with stakeholders.

Experience Required

We are looking for experienced infrastructure engineers who have supported infrastructure in a Windows/ Microsoft environment. We are looking for engineers who have experience of the following:

* Windows Server - would be beneficial if you have built, installed an operating system

* VMware - Beneficial to have managed/ maintained a virtual infrastructure.

* Active Directory and Group Policy - ideally demonstrate strong knowledge and beneficial to have Group Policy Objects (GPO) experience

* Any experience with Cisco networking would be beneficial

Desirables

Although not necessary, it would be desirable to have the below skills:

* Scripting i.e. PowerShell

* Cisco ASA and/ Cisco ISE/ access control system

* Worked within a regulated industry i.e. financial company

* SAN/ storage technologies e.g. Dell EqualLogic
