Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients.

Based in Kent, our client is looking for a Systems Analyst Programmer on an initial Permanent Basis.

We are looking for

An experienced Analyst Programmer to join our Projects & Development Team. The role will primarily focus on the design and development of software solutions. We adopt an Agile approach to development, with regular interactions with the business.

The ideal candidate for the role of Analyst Programmer will be:

*At least 5 years experience of programming in commercial environments, preferably in the finance sector

*Experience of working with relational databases

*Experience of the full project life cycle, preferably Agile

*Ability to pick up new ways of working quickly and add value

*Comfortable working with bespoke legacy systems

*Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and manage competing demands

Requirements

The key responsibilities of the role are:

*Design and development of software solutions to meet business needs

*Conduct testing of solutions and support user acceptance testing

*Peer reviews

*Provide second line application support (including out of hours support)

*Willing to learn and share knowledge with the rest of the team

Required skills:

*C/C++, Perl

*Unix and/or Linux

*Relational Database & SQL

*Good communication and teamworking skills

Desirable skills;

*Cobol

*Knowledge of Life & Pensions

*HTML, XML, XSLT

*JavaScript

*ETL

*Ingres Database and iSQL

*Database Connectors - JDBC/ODBC
