Position: PR and Content Manager

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: £45000 - £53,000 per annum

Develop a result driven PR strategy and plan that supports the CEO, corporate, brand and divisional needs, specifically driving awareness, consideration and selection of Zen

Develop and deliver PR strategy through to execution

Manage a mix of strategic, planned and tactical activities

Work across both traditional and digital PR

Build effective relationships with media journalists to support delivery of PR

Build strong and collaborative relationships working with Zen staff including CEO, senior management team and divisional product and sales teams

Deliver impactful press releases, campaigns materials, website content, blogs, newsletters and award submissions

Provide sound PR evaluation in-line with agreed KPIs including use of media monitoring

Work closely with head of marketing in development of PR strategy

Manage the relationship and workflow with the external PR agency

Manage a content executive

Helping improve team ways of working, processes and share best practice

Skills and Experience:

People focused and naturally want to work with others to succeed

Is as confident and motivated in developing a PR strategy as is executing and delivering it

Excellent written and verbal communicator with extensive experience in writing effective press releases, blogs, newsletters, literature, website and social content and award submissions.

Understands how to develop strategy, supporting plans and deliver flawless execution

Has a real eye for a great story and PR opportunity within a business

Experience in understanding a technical issue and be able to communicate this in simple terms

Can seamlessly transition between traditional and digital PR and engagement

Can operate confidently at all levels of the organisation

Results and ROI driven

Able to multi-task effectively and prioritise activities

Fun and sense of humour

Experience in tech highly desirable

Ideally youll have a degree in PR, Journalism or English

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This role has never existed before, the successful candidate will be making it their own. Reason this role has developed is because Zen wants to grow into the top 4 internet providers (BT, Sky, Virgin & TalkTalk)

Someone with ideally 7 years experience

Want someone with a good mix of B2B and B2C experience

The success candidate will be line managing a handful of Content Writers

Need the candidate to understand technology and is able to translate technical terms to laymans terms

Ideally for candidates to come from IT, Retail or Telecoms background

Need an individual who is articulate, intelligent and comfortable communicating with stakeholders of the company

Successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Marketing.

Candidate will be working very closely with the CEO to build his image publicly

KEY SKILLS:

PR strategies that support the CEO, cooperate, brand and divisional needs, 7 years experience in both B2b and B2c
