My client are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to work alongside a Project Manager on a Data Centre migration project based in Paris.

In order to accelerate the delivery of the project we need to staff 2 additional migration teams to manage up to 500 server migrations. The lead architect of each team will work together with the project manager and prepare migration waves for the next Data Centres.

The migrations architect is responsible for discovering and analysing the customer's infrastructure and application landscape. He then holds a series of workshops with the client to clarify the applications and infrastructure interdependencies. Based on this he defines the migrations lots and groups them into waves. He is then responsible for creating a detailed runbook of each wave of migration to be executed by the Run team from Romania during the migration window (during which he will be present).

The ideal candidate will have previous server/data centre migration experience, ideally large scale projects. You will need to get a good understanding of the customer landscape. My client has already completed the planning stages, the discovery and analysis has been done and they are ready to move into the migration stage.

Candidates will have both infrastructure and application experience.

They are looking for someone with a technical skillset - specifically around Windows and UNIX/LINUX.

Interviews will initially be conducted via Skype followed by a face to face in Paris.
