Cloud Architect - AWS / Big Data

I am looking for a Cloud Architect to lead, assess and deliver an enterprise strategic roadmap that will transform product delivery and client solutions for continued growth. You will be critical to the advancement of product development and scaling of our technology, as well as establishing the future state of AWS cloud architecture for the organization.

A successful individual in this role will be able to quickly determine:

* What tools and resources are needed

* How to define and prioritize features

* Alignment of decisions based on organizational revenue

* How to partner and influence a demanding product team with diplomacy

* This role will report directly to the executive leadership team

In this role, you'll:

* Lead the definition and execution of enterprise-wide AWS cloud roadmap including a balance of new feature development and tech-debt

* Be a thought-leader informing, education and influencing cross-functional teams including executive leadership, product development, engineering, quality assurance and key business stakeholders

* Identify needs and guide the delivery of cost-effective, high-performance technology capabilities leveraging enterprise information architecture principles and core data assets

* Establish collaborative, cross-functional relationships; communicating information and providing advice to drive enterprise data architecture decisions forward

* Assess the risks and costs of architecture designs and make the necessary adjustments

* Define and develop architectural standards, procedures, guidelines & policies

* Drive and consult on the adoption of new technology

* Mentor and help develop architecture and engineering talent

What You Should Have:

* 5+ experience in building, deploying, and operating Enterprise AWS services

* AWS certification required

* Experience with RDB, Message Bus, EC2, S3, and Elasticsearch

* Experience designing and managing complex infrastructure and cloud solutions

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to quickly learn and comprehend existing complex system infrastructures
