Head of Finance (Banking) - Manage the finance function in the most efficient and responsive ways in order to support the businessHead of Finance with experience as a great leader who will recruit, develop and motivate a team of managers and people in order to ensure that demanding performance targets are achieved and you will manage all aspects of the Finance team. As a Head of Finance within a Global Banking Finance team you would be joining a team who is committed to creating responsible consumer finance solutions that customers trust. Your position as a Head of Finance will come at an exciting time with the backing of a global bank that have growth ambitions to double the size of the business in a high energy environment.Skills required for the Head of Finance Role: 

'€¢Experience working within a Global/ Investment Bank or Personal Finance Team   '€¢Understanding of Operational Risk and Financial Services'€¢The ability to question and challenge appropriately'€¢Confidence and ability to lead a team of finance professionals with demanding workloads'€¢Ability to build strong relationships throughout all departments'€¢Knowledge and understanding of the wider financial world and all aspects of the business'€¢Great presentation skills and ability to negotiate and influence.'€¢Able to to develop, evaluate and implement strategy for driving profitability.

Key responsibilities of Head of Finance: 

'€¢Recruit, lead, develop and motivate a team of managers and people in order to ensure that demanding performance targets are achieved.'€¢Manage all aspects of the Finance Team'€¢Check that all the appropriate controls are in place and accurately performed by the different levels according to the company guidelines.'€¢Perform random checks on a regular basis in order to have a good risk assessment of the performance and the quality of works done by the finance functions.'€¢Build strong relationships with the other departments to ensure that the finance functions provide the right level of information and support to the business.'€¢To ensure that compliance required by the financial business activities is in place and monitor on a regular basis within the finance functions.'€¢Responsible for leading the production of budgets & forecasts '€¢Responsible for controlling and optimising the cost structure in accordance with the strategic plan and the annual budget.'€¢Ensure financial planning and analysis activities comply with Group guidelines and requirements.'€¢Work with the business area and other departments to develop, evaluate and implement strategy for driving profitability.
