Role Summary/Purpose

The Connection & SDS Project Coordinator is a key role within the Subsea Systems Centre of Excellence and will be responsible for supporting delivery of Major project(s) scope within the Subsea System of GE Oil & Gas for a 'Manifold, Connection & SDS' Project.

Essential Responsibilities

* The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the project manager with the shipping of equipment to our customers, their partners or internal sites. The Project Coordinator will be accountable for the delivery of the equipment to the client. Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the wider project team is key.

* The Project Coordinator shall support the PM in achieving the agreed project goals, ensuring all relevant procedures and processes are followed

* Ensuring on-time and on-budget shipping of equipment working with the wider project organisation.

* Preparing shipping dispatch request and working with logistics, sourcing, quality and project managers to make the required arrangements for being ready to ship material.

* Responsible for establishing and keeping shipping planning lists up to date.

* Keeping track of shipments and follow shipments until received by the different sites, the customer or their partners.

* Use Lessons Learned to drive continuous improvement throughout the OTR phase with regards to logistics and ensure they are fed into ITO.

* Ensure to the BHGE EHS and Quality culture and processes are firmly established and used.

* Project Coordinator must be flexible and willing to undertake any other assignments as required by the project management in subjects related to logistics, shipping of equipment and other coordination activities as required by the projects

* The role will interface with the Functional Teams and Project Managers as required across both Subsea Systems and Services.

Qualifications/Requirements

* At least 5 additional years of experience as Project Coordinator/ and/or logistics in an international environment, preferably O&G or other energy industry segments

* Knowledge of Incoterms

* Experience of Customs Import & Export

* Manifold, Connections & Subsea Distribution product knowledge

* Excellent written / oral English knowledge

* Strong drive and enthusiasm to deliver.

* Exposure to high capital value projects in a multi-disciplined environment.

* Leadership skills with proven ability to deliver within a matrix organisation.

* Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies / remedies

* High energy level - self-starter. Proactive, able to engage and stay engaged

* Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks.

* Demonstrates high standards of ethics and values following company compliance program

* Demonstrates a readiness to act on decisions, and take the initiative and originate action.

* The Successful candidate will understand the necessity to operate quickly and efficiently to expedite time critical cargoes.

* Being proactive and self-driven able to operate and take responsibility without being closely monitored.

* Being flexible and able to work both in a team and independently

* Being able to work very systematic and accurate, being detailed oriented and proactive

* Being able to co-ordinate and communicate both between local departments and global offices.

* Undertake training as required to learn necessary new skills and company procedures

Desired Characteristics

* Oil and Gas or other relevant industry experience.

* Knowledge of Operations and Services in O&G

* Degree in Engineering/Logistics or Business discipline.

* EU Work Permit

* Computer knowledge and ability in use of Word, Excel & Power Point
