Salary: Up to £60,000My client is looking for a Development Lead to join its team based in Sheffield. What are you up to currently? Could this role be for you?My client makes it easier to book reservations at some of the best restaurants in the UK with their innovative software products such as a reservations and waitlist systems. The organisation requires new systems to be developed as well as supporting new features/bug-fixes on existing systems and legacy code. They also develop bespoke website for clients and have a number of websites that need redeveloping.As a Development Lead you will be overseeing the team designing and developing the next generation platforms. You will also oversee the engineers who are responsible for the core platforms, machine learning, and client apps. This is a great opportunity to contribute and grow as you build software solutions that helps realize this companys mission in the world.Aspects of the Role '€¢Oversee the technologies, tools and techniques used within the team'€¢Work closely with the business and Engineers on issues related to design and requirements'€¢Ensure that development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to. '€¢Drive change to implement efficient and effective strategies as advised by management'€¢Develop and implement IT standards and procedures to aid in the development of high quality software. Ensure that all Engineers within the team understand and follow existing IT standards.'€¢Work closely with other team leaders and development teams when necessary to create software that is cohesive.'€¢Lead a team of software Engineers in the creation of high quality software within agreed project deadlines.'€¢Assume a high level of ownership of all work developed by members of the team.'€¢Train and integrate new team members and proactively support the continued development of existing team members'€¢Build and promote a positive working environment for the team within your areas as well as other business areas you will engage with.
