Service Desk Analyst

Central London

£29,875 to £32,298

At MI5, we help to keep the country safe. Our talented teams work against ever-evolving threats, from terrorism to espionage. Our Information Technology group ensures that IT across the organisation is fully-functioning and always improving. Without the department, we simply couldn’t carry out our crucial work keeping the country safe.

When you join as a Service Desk Analyst, you’ll become part of a growing team that specialises in first-line IT support. Enthusiastic about helping people, you’ll approach problems positively and put every customer at ease. As the first point of contact, you’ll quickly answer queries, log varied incidents and solve a range of problems - always working to understand the impact across the business. It means you’ll liaise with a huge range of people across MI5 - both in person and over the phone.

To join, you’ll have outstanding customer service skills, experience of helping to resolve customer issues and a genuine curiosity for IT. You’ll also need to be comfortable with Microsoft Office products and keen to develop a career in IT. Ideally, you’ll hold an A-level in an IT-related subject, and more importantly, you’ll be a natural problem-solver with a passion for helping people.

Keeping the country safe is a complex job, which is why we’re dedicated to giving you a great work-life balance. Plus, you’ll take advantage of impressive training and have the opportunity to gain professional qualifications. You won’t just develop your skills; you’ll develop your career at MI5.

We particularly welcome applications from women and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates.
