£28,000-£32,000 + Training + Progression

Excellent role on offer for a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a growing specialist manufacturer, where you will be working in a key role on highly technical products.

Do you have a proven background using Autodesk Solidworks? Do you have experience of working with sheet metal?

This specialist company design and manufacture high end products into a variety of sectors, including oil and gas, marine, off-shore, nuclear, rail and more. They started the business in 2007 and have gone from strength to strength. Due to continued success they are looking for an additional design engineer to join their design team.

In this varied role, you'll be fulfilling both design engineering and documentation control functions. You'll have a good understanding of engineering drawing and drawing office practices, matched with a wide knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering materials.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with sheet metal in Solidworks and will have extensive mechanical drawing & design experience. They will have proven knowledge of engineering materials and processes, as well as the ability to identify and solve engineering problem before they reach the end customers

The Role:

* Design and Develop Sheet Metal Designs using Solidworks

* Creating Parts and Boms Inside an MRP system

* Review and Analyse Specifications, Standards, and Drawings to Assess Factors

Affecting a Design

* Control and Completion of Project Documentation

* £28,000-£32,000 + Training + Progression

The Person:

* Mechanical Design Engineer

* Must be experienced with Solidworks 3D design

* Will have knowledge of bringing products into manufacturing processes

* Live local to Alton, or be in commutable distance
