Job Title: Solutions Architect

Location: Kendal, Cumbria

Salary: £35,229 to £38,052

Job type: Permanent, Full time - 37 Hours per week, Flexi-time Scheme

The District Council, based in the South lakes, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Solutions Architect to join their Shared ICT Service.

The Role

As part of a newly formed team, The Solutions Architect will be responsible for managing the Councils' ICT architecture and translating business requirements into effective technology solutions tying in with the Councils' overall architecture design principles.

They are currently in the process of modernising the way services are delivered across the Councils, transforming the way people work and the way customers interact with them, by the introduction of new technology and redesigned business processes. If you want to help develop and improve the way services are delivered to the public, then this is the job for you.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will hold a relevant ICT architecture certification (e.g. TOGAF, BCS, Archimate) or relevant experience and willingness to work towards the qualification. They will also have experience of the interfacing of multiple systems and technology in line with Enterprise Architecture. Good practical understanding of IT Security is key, in order for security to be designed into solutions.
