My client a Leading government organisation is looking for a Business Systems Developer to join there team immediately, the role will initially be until end of March 2019.

Location - London

Rate - £375

Duration - 9 months initially

IR35 - OUTSIDE

Main Activities

*Join the K2 team as Senior Developer, with ability to contribute to the architectural goals of the team as well as deliver solutions

*Development of business applications including technical impact assessments for changes required by the business.

*Technical design for new developments, determining the appropriate approach for new applications and their relationship to existing environments and other systems.

*Support and enhancement of existing applications.

*Administration and maintenance of environments.

*Provide advice and guidance to projects on the potential use of applications, development approaches, tools and 3rd party components. Investigation of issues resulting from the use of 3rd party tools.

*Unit testing including the investigation and resolution of defects identified user acceptance testing.

*Support and training for end users.

*Creation and maintenance of consistent and comprehensive documentation for business systems, including the relationships between IT components and business functionality.

*Provide advice and guidance on potential uses of software across the Department.

*Deployment of solutions between environments

*Maintenance of software artefacts within a controlled environment

Essential Criteria

*Significant K2 Development Experience - Forms and Workflow

*Strong Experience, or relevant transferable skills, in one or more of the following:

o.NET Development using C#

oMuleSoft API Management

oEnterprise Service Bus implementation

oDevelopment of Restful and/or SOAP services in an SOA environment

oMicroservices Architecture Design and Development

oPHP/Drupal Web Development

oSharePoint Development

*Strong Experience of developing and working in an Agile environment, specific knowledge on the following

oEstimation Techniques

oPair programming

oAutomated Testing

oUnit testing

oTDD and BDD

*Effective communication skills, able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

*Effective stakeholder management skills, ability to understand business drivers and influence how changes are implemented

Knowledge, skills and experience mandatory to the role are:

*Graduate level education or relevant professional experience.

*Evidence of continuing professional development.

*The development and deployment of business applications using out of the box components and bespoke configurations, with specific regard to integration of 3rd party and in-house components

*Provision of advice and guidance to less experienced co-workers, including potentially trainees.

*Structured analysis and documentation of business requirements.

*Ability to work independently and in small teams

*Support/Tool Skills required

oVisual Studio

oTFS and/or JIRA/Confluence

oPowerShell

oMS SQL and development using relational databases.

oThe Microsoft Office suite
