Senior UI Designer

The Senior UI Designer will be responsible for providing strong leadership and direction to our team of UX & UI Designers to support the delivery of best-in-class customer experiences on the Clients website, through exceptional design work that complies with their brand guidelines and is consistent with their Global Experience Principles.

You will bring with you previous experience of working in digital, ecommerce, design teams alongside other designers, web designers, copywriters and UX experts and having an understanding of their disciplines.

Main Activities

*Developing high quality UI designs for the website by working on wireframes developed by the internal UX team, and external agencies

*Working with UX Managers, designers, prototypers and front-end developers to deliver designs can be used for customer research prototypes, and support our test and learn approach.

*Directly working with the Technology team to ensure the design can be applied to new and existing systems

*Guiding copywriters, designers and marketing stakeholders through each stage of the design lifecycle

*Manage design assets with the Global Experience Principles to ensure consistent use and approach

Experience

*Currently in either senior design role or with over 5 years' experience as a designer either agency side or client side

*Proven record of working on industry leading design projects

*Examples of previous work (academic studies and client work) should be shown

*Experience of designing award winning customer orientated designs

*Strong theoretical and practical design skills

*Experience of wireframing

*Experience and knowledge of Agile web development process

Essential Skills

*Excellent practical design skills including layout, colour, typography & responsive design demonstrated through strong design portfolio

*Drawing/sketching skills for 'scamping' campaign ideas and mockups

*Understanding & experience of working with pattern/component libraries contributing to a consistent design language

*Experience of using Sketch for creating visual designs

*Experience of using Adobe Creative suite

** Some weekly travel to the other office may be required along with occasional travel to London**
