Job Requirements
- Primarily office based (Reading, Berkshire) but occasional field work on customer or manufacturer site, occasionally travelling overseas for training and events
- Manage and develop relationships with customer, technical, and engineering teams
- Coordinate product development and customisation with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
- Prepare and present demonstrations and training of hardware and software products
- Provide support, guidance, and training to internal staff
- Maintain a deep knowledge base across a broad range of hardware and software platforms (embedded client & server, networking, basic board level electronics, Windows client and server OS, Linux, DOS)
- Construct and maintain build and quality process documentation
- Assist sales and pre-sales teams with designing and implementing complex projects
- Technical support for hardware and software in the field
- Practical skills in assembly, troubleshooting, and testing of computer hardware both in lab and on site
- Occasional work alongside the configuration/integration team during periods of high volume or technically intensive workloads
Experience Required
- An IT/Computer science background with relevant experience in the embedded field of computer hardware and legacy technologies
- Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant field: embedded or enterprise hardware
- Ability and willingness to work in an existing small, but rapidly expanding team
- Experience of working in a production/manufacturing environment
- Willingness to learn new skills, adapt to a constantly changing market
- A full UK drivers licence and passport to travel are essential
- Able to occasional travel and work outside of typical office hours
