About the role
Joining the NCA as an Intelligence Analyst, your role will be to conduct complex and wide ranging analysis in support of the National Crime Agency’s Annual Plan, National Control Strategy and other identified priorities in the fight to cut serious and organised crime.
You will conduct cross-source data exploitation and make recommendations to support the proactive and reactive development of intelligence, to gain new insights into criminal activity and understand our impact on the threat presented by serious and organised crime.
About you
As an Experience Intelligence Officer, you’ll hold an Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accreditation or NIAT certificate. You’ll also have a basic understanding of the use of intelligence and evidence by law enforcement agencies, knowledge of intelligence collection methods and understanding of relevant legislation, including CPIA and ECHR. Good understanding of information management and data integrity issues is essential, as is experience researching and gathering information from a wide variety of sources. Open Source Level 2 or 3, i2 Mapping software skills, CycComms, RIPA, CPIA Disclosure, Core Skills in Communications Data, Enhanced Intelligence Skills training or equivalent and knowledge of crypto currencies would all be useful.

Additional Information
The NCA is a 24/7 organisation, and working patterns must support business requirements. You may be required to respond at short notice or outside of core hours.
Officers may be required to travel throughout the UK and overseas.
You could be deployed to work on any type of investigation, including, but not limited to Child Sexual Exploitation, Cyber or Financial investigations.
