We are actively looking to secure a Business Systems Analyst to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

The Role

The successful candidate will apply their skills as a Business Systems Analyst to understand business strategy, analyse existing and develop new processes, complete requirements definition and management. You will support the translation of these requirements into viable solution options and provide support for System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and other implementation activities.

The successful candidate will apply their skills as a Business Systems Analyst to analyse existing IT applications, working with business SMEs and stakeholders to define and manage requirements for the implementation of the Company's Retention & Destruction policies, to ensure that data stored by the application is compliant with the Policy and by extension the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Many of the data structures are complex with multiple areas of the business dependent on the data. The successful candidate will be capable of recognising wide reaching dependencies and comfortable with complex data.

Working with IT application SMEs and Solution Architects, the Business Systems Analyst will support the translation of these requirements into viable solution options and provide support for System Testing, User Acceptance Testing and other implementation activities.

Skills & Experience

Essential

* IT Business Analyst or Business Systems Analysis background

* Able to work under minimal supervision and guidance

* Able to plan a requirements approach and provide accurate estimates of duration to the Project Manager

* Familiar with and competent in the use of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio

* Expert in requirements definition and requirement management

* Knowledge of various standards, methods and tools that can be used to elicit and document requirements

* Able to select and apply an appropriate range of data and requirements modelling techniques

* Able to understand IT and Business Architectural diagrams and models

* Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels of the organisation, challenging perceived requirements and solutions where appropriate.

* A robust understanding of the full project life cycle

* Knowledge and experience of system development methodologies, to include Agile

* Facilitation / workshop skills and experience

* Strong stakeholder management skills

* 'A' Level education or equivalent

Desirable

* GDPR experience or experience working on similar regulatory projects / programmes

* Business Analysis experience within the Insurance / Financial Services industry

* BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis (or progress towards)

* Degree or equivalent demonstrable work experience
