Rapidly Expanding SME Business is urgently looking for an RF Engineer in Devon. Due to large amounts of investment, the business is currently building four new development & test laboratories for state-of-the-art products, which will produce 26GHz.

Sat within the Design Team, you will help design Point-to-Point and Point-to-Mulitpoint Radio Transmitting & Receiving Equipment. Operating in frequency ranges from 2 GHz to 6GHz using discrete components and MMICs.

Technical Skills Required;

* Experience of radio frequency/antenna design (2GHz - 26 GHz).

* Experience of simulation tools such as ADS and CST.

* An appreciation of Radar Design & Patching Design.

* An appreciation of RF printed circuit boards layout techniques.

* An appreciation of Regulatory requirements on antenna performance.

Daily Responsibilities;

* Research into new techniques of antenna design.

* Detailed antenna design, from concept to implementation and verification.

* Propose and develop innovative and patentable antenna designs.

* Working with the System Architect to agree specifications for the new antenna designs.

* Liaison with the Regulatory team to understand the implications of global regulations.

* An excellent understanding of the impact of antenna performance on transmitters and receivers.

* Agreeing the choice of components/suppliers with the NPI and Supply Chain teams.

* Agreeing the requirements for production test and calibration and generating test specifications.

* Agreeing design verification test requirements with the Systems Integration & Test team, reviewing results and implementing appropriate design improvements.

* Training the production test personnel and the production support engineering team in the faultfinding of antenna hardware with occasional factory visits abroad.
